  •    Tiffanie is a native New Mexican with deep family roots in southern New Mexico. Her interest in art began at age 5 with her mother teaching her all forms of arts and crafts and her father critiquing her coloring books.  At age 5, her grandmother taught her to paint with oils.  In high school, she studied under renowned New Mexico artist, Michael Copeland.   But as the years went on, the desire to paint had to be put aside for responsibilities of school and work.  The dream was always there, just waiting to reawaken.
  •    In 1994, Tiffanie began her studies at The Art Center, which started to bring the different facets of her life together.  During that time, she interned with Santa Fe artist, Ronda Hendrickson.
  •    Later, in 2008, Tiffanie took over directorship of the Hurd-La Rinconada Gallery & Guest Ranch in San Patricio, New Mexico.  She had now found a way to meld art into her daily life, but the work was still not her own.
  •    Inspired by a dream of a constellation shaped like a sparkling compass in the sky, Tiffanie felt that it was time to change her life direction and search for her own artistic voice.  Her search led her to Master Artist, Lou Maestas, who instructed her in the technique of oil rub-out.
  • Tiffanie is especially inspired by historic New Mexico buildings, both past and present.
  •    "It is sad when old buildings die...they have charm and personality, just like people.  I hate to see history lost to progress, but when I paint the old buildings, it's like painting the portrait of a beloved family member who is no longer there...gone but not forgotten."
